Cultivating the NBCH-22 variety from Navbharat Seeds Pvt. Ltd., the farmer achieved an exceptional yield of 8,750 kg per hectare on just 7 bighas of land. This remarkable performance earned him a cash prize of ₹25,000, recognising both his hard work and the high-yield potential of NBCH-22.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, and brought together key stakeholders in the castor value chain. Highlights of the conference included a comprehensive survey presentation on India’s Castor Crop 2024-25, analysis of castor oil market trends, and discussions on sustainable farming practices that are shaping the future of castor cultivation.
